In 1976, Wayne took the first steps to becoming a professional photographer as a sports photographer for a small-town newspaper. In 1987, Wayne joined PPA, and this is when his portrait photography became his specialty. In 1991, Wayne became a member of Vermont Professional Photographers, and he entered his first state print competition, and seeing this as a significant educational opportunity, he still competes to this day.
In recent years, Wayne has taken his skills as a portrait photographer and is applying them to volume photography. The majority of his photography is now servicing a handful of dance schools and public schools. Wayne has also taken his love for dance photography, his interest in underwater photography and combined them into a personal project. Now, he is a portrait photographer who has a passion for capturing the creative magic of dance photography, underwater.
