This is Studio Central , a boudoir & portrait studio located in Beloit, WI. My name is Jeff and I am the owner and photographer. My assistant and wife, Kim, is a huge asset to the studio with great ideas and a shining personality that will make you feel right at home here. We want to provide a safe, comfortable and fun experience while you take home exceptional high quality portraits. While we specialize in boudoir, we are looking to work with local models for specialty shoots and we also do the more traditional portrait sessions, whether it is a family portrait, couples, engagement announcements, maternity, glamour and fashion.
The idea behind Studio Central comes from my passion in photography for the last close to 30 years and we want to serve the community with an amazing experience by bringing you into the studio and sending you home with portraits and memories to last a lifetime and at an affordable cost.
I got my start in the photography industry way back in 1995, or was it 1996? I suppose the exact timeline doesn't quite matter. Anyways, I took employment at a photo lab in New Berlin, WI processing film for local professional photographers. I was instantly drawn into a world beyond my simple understanding of taking a picture on a camera and magically getting back photos from your local Photo Hut. The more I dug into my job and learning the development, printing processes and all the other behind the scenes steps to create a photo, the more I wanted to learn about the camera side of this. I ended up befriending one the customers who was a wedding and high school senior photographer. He took me under his wing and started teaching how to be a photographer. In addition to that, I took some classes with a few other professionals and also did a complete course in Professional Photography through the New York Institute of Photography where I received my diploma in 1999. Then kids came along and I never pursued my dream as raising a family took the mainstage and the last thing I thought about was taking time and finances from my family to start a studio, so it remained a hobby until now. With the kids grown and moved out starting their own lives, my wife and I decided to purchase our first home here in Beloit near the end of 2021 where the studio is operated from. My dream and passion has become a reality.
