At Amy May Photography in the charming town of Galena, Illinois, I specialize in full-service portrait and boudoir photography. For me, this is more than a business—it’s a mission. I work with people from all walks of life to embrace their unique beauty, gain confidence, and see themselves in a new light.

This vision led to the creation of Reflections Boudoir Studio, a space where empowerment meets artistry. Boudoir photography is often misunderstood, but I’ve witnessed its incredible ability to inspire self-love and boost self-assurance. It’s a deeply personal and rewarding process, and I feel honored to guide my clients through it.

Collaboration is at the heart of what I do. I’ve been fortunate to work with an amazing team, including talented hair and makeup artists like Brittnay Shockey, who help bring each client’s vision to life. Together, we craft experiences that are as transformative as they are unforgettable.

Beyond my studios, I serve as the Executive Director of the Scenic Art Loop, a collective of artists and creatives. This role allows me to nurture the broader artistic community, connect with like-minded professionals, and promote the arts in our beautiful region.

When I’m not behind the camera or organizing community initiatives, I’m a wife, a mom, and a firm believer in living life to the fullest. I love exploring the outdoors, traveling, and finding inspiration in the world around me.
