I'm a photographer based in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina specializing in commercial, editorial, portrait, and sports. I have been shooting since 1992 when I learned to shoot on film. I am a member of the National Press Photographer's Association and have been published in Politico, Fodor's Guide, TPO Magazine, and the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, among others.
Clients love my professionalism, reliability, quality, sense of urgency, and attention to detail, including meeting the ever important budget requirements. I love to connect with my subjects and have fun on the assignment while ensuring the work gets done as well as possible. My business is insured and I can provide a certificate/proof of insurance as needed.
Sports photography is my favorite type of photography to shoot, probably because I am a former NCAA Division I baseball student athlete. I love making images to tell the story visually, and completely understand the blood, sweat, and tears that were shed for the athlete to get to that point in their career. Although sports are my favorite subject, corporate and commercial, editorial, and portraits/headshots comprise a much larger portion of my business.
On a personal level, I'm from the midwest originally and previously lived in California for a little over a decade and Boston for six years. I have been married since 2006 to an amazing woman and we have two young children and a dog. We currently live in Cary, North Carolina and can travel throughout the southeastern US by car and world wide when commissioned.
